Description of Nha Trang:
Nha Trang, also known as the Riviera of the South China Sea, offers a six-kilometre stretch of beautiful coastline with white sandy beaches, clear waters with an abundance of marine life and thriving reefs, verdant mountain ranges at each end, as well as 19 untouched islets that are just a short boat ride away. Offering a myriad of sightseeing and recreational activities, the coastal town itself is steeped with breath-taking structures that date back to the Champa Kingdom, Buddhist temples, and gothic-style Catholic churches, as well as natural hot springs, salt fields, and unique waterfalls.
Five Cool Facts About Nha Trang:
1. The Nha Trang was only a small fishing village until the 1970s and the name “Nha Trang” is believed to originate from “Ya Trang”, meaning Reed River, in Cham language.
2. The Vinpearl Cable Car is the longest over-water cable car in the world (3320 meters). Remember to try it when you want to visit Vinpearl Land and prepare to be amazed by the feeling of floating and looking at the poetic landscape from the height of 60 meters.
3. The beautiful Nha Trang Bay was acknowledged by Travel & Leisure as one of 29 most beautiful bays in the world for two consecutive years.
4. The city is often called the scuba diving centre of Vietnam. Scuba diving and snorkeling were first introduced to Vietnam in Nha Trang.
5. Historically, the city was known as Kauthara under the Champa and you can still see the last remnants of that time in the form of the Po Nagar Tower of Champa in Nha Trang.

During these 3 months ( later December through to later March). The beaches are very extremely danger from late of December to late of March, Because jellyfish hatching eggs months season, sea urchins also. And very strong under Ripcurrents. I and my family regularly go there, but we never go there from JANUARY to Early April. Staying away of these only 3 ugly months. The jellyfish hatching eggs season months , and under Ripcurrents can pull out and kill swimmers on the beaches very easily and quickly. I was often there and already saw many people were drowned; because they hit by jellyfish, or were pulling out by under Ripcurrents . This link video below is 1 of many accidents anualy happenes often of these 03 ugly months ( late December to Early April) . After these 03 ugly months; the beaches may safer, ok for playing and swimming.
Video below about a tourist Russian man hit by jellyfish, was drowned and died in the front of beache's rescuers, and his family when was swimming and playing on Nha trang Beach in later December.

Amazing video! There are so many places in Nha Trang that we didn't get to see during our trip. We just uploaded our video from Nha Trang from our snorkeling trip there 🙂
Nha Trang is not as beautiful as before. Now there are so many filthy and noisy chinese from mainland. They pollute and destroy the beauty and peace of this beach city.
Beach nha trang never had jellyfish , sea urchin all year , sea water very cool from january to september is very suitable for travel . I am living in nha trang , beleived me . Everybody do not beleive in Hong Nguyen. She is jealous, she speaks badly Nha trang.
